Case 1:  30 year-old female who presents with pain, swelling, and decreased mobility of the 2nd PIP joint two days after trauma to her left hand.   Her husband reports that there has been a bony mass on the lateral 2nd phalanx on the left hand for the last 6 months.
Case 2:  11 year-old Latin American male who presents with a 4-year history of bony masses in his left hand with constant growth since an episode of trauma.
