The patient is a 22 year old black female who was well up until June 1982 when she was struck in the left knee with a baseball.  She developed persistent pain but did not seek medical attention until late July.   Since that time she has undergone arthrocentesis (X3) which were all "dry taps."  These studies were done in mid Sept. 1982.
