| The ERC
provides electronic resources, texts, productivity software and
imaging software, as well as electronic course support through
BECON (Baylor Educational Computing Network). ERC staff is available
for assistance with scanning and imaging software. The Education Resource
Center (ERC) provides curriculum
support for Baylor students, faculty, and residents.
Executive Director Lynn Yeoman, Ph.D., and
Director Cathy Montoya, M.L.S., meet weekly to discuss and develop
strategies that ensure the ERC is responsive to an ever-changing
education and technology environment. The vision of the ERC is to
be the recognized and valued nucleus that integrates technological,
teaching and learning resources for both students and faculty at
Baylor College of Medicine.
Though the renovation of the first four floors
of the DeBakey Center continues, the ERC
has moved back to the second floor of
the DeBakey Center. There is open study space
and some study carrels available in Suite M208. ERC
staff and faculty are located as follows:
- Ken Melton - M210.01
- Nadia Nassaj - M208
- Johnny Kow - M210.03
- Sherry Vafa - M210A
- Dodie Hall - M210B
- Cathy Montoya - M210.06
- Dr. Lynn Yeoman - M210.07
Once renovations are complete, the ERC will occupy
space on the second, third and fourth floor of the DeBakey Center.
